So you only vote for a person or party that you agree with on ALL the issues.? Thats a tough one-- I have views on dozens of issues and some matter to me more than others. So yes, I will often vote for the party I disagree with the least.
I think that any informed choice is better than making no choice at all.
Personally I have voted completely contrary to my personal fiscal views to support a strong candidate. I may have disagreed with his views but felt that the nation is all the better for having people with different views espousing them. Sometimes, regardless of party stripe, there are candidates that you know will make an impact.
I don't agree with much of NDP party policy but I would hate to see them disappear from the political spectrum. I see no harm, and much good in having the leftists railing against the centrist and centre-right policies most prevalent in our country.

Could some Canadians offer me a view on the central issues in these elections?

Which parties are pro-corruption, and who are against? Or am I missing some subtilties here .
Is Health Care really as bad as depicted in Les invasions barbaires
Oh, and I think that every child is entitled to the pornography it wants

or so their recent past would indicate .. . They certainly practiced enough corruption. But of course their new leader is claiming ignorance of all corruption and that his same old gang will somehow act completely differently with him at the helm

Holy ****, that was the most painful voting experience ever.
I drove past the polling station on the way home, so I thought "what the hell, I'll go vote", and so I did.
I showed them my drivers license and they registered me and all, then I went to my polling booth, and they told me I had already voted...
It said I did an "advance vote", where they supposedly sent me a ballot for some reason and I mailed it in sometime before last week. Um...no...
Well over an HOUR later, and the supervisor lady using MY cellphone minutes to talk to the Returning Office and eventually frickin' OTTAWA, they told me I had to take two oaths, one saying I'm a valid voter, and the other claiming someone impersonated me.
Then after I voted she told me that the government is looking into this, and if they find that someone impersonated me, they'll prosecute them, and if they find I've voted twice, they'll prosecute me.
Last time I ever vote.
