Minor Cities

Cow River - Cat (7s@T125)

Cheeky Monkey - Cat (10s@T125)

these can be complete by T132 with a disband and a 4g shortrush if needed.

Silkfest - on Spear (4s@T125) possible disband and shortrush if needed.

Total extra units to be produced by T130 (minor cities can complete later as less distance)

= 4 Spears, 10 Cats, 3 longbows

There is also the archer Frustrated Poet who can upgrade in Silkfest in T130

Total Force on T130

10 Spears, 10 Cats, 15 Longbows, 16 Horsemen, 1 Swordsman

Our 6 Spears are currently :
on the front line (3), Cow River (1), Silkfest (1), and 1 in the Deep South

If the southern Spear is staying to keep Monkey defenders south we need one more. Best city timing-wise is Swindon (closest) but inefficient for a 20s build. Alternatives - (1) use the Sword as a Spear, (2) rush in Silkfest, or (3) delay a couple more turns and build in somewhere like Coventry.

Great South Road

T125 - 5 workers on jungle CM88, 2 workers on jungle CM8
T126 - all road. CM88 5/9, CM8 2/9. New worker 'BC126' to tile BC222
T127 - CM88 complete, workers red. BC126 moves to CM8 which has 4/9.
T128 - 5-gang move onto CM8. where BC126 roads for 7/9. New worker 'BC128' to tile BC222
T129 - roads on CM8 completes,3 left on red. 5 workers move south on road to CM22, BC128 moves to Cheeky Monkey
T130 - 3 workers on CM22 road. remaining 2 and BC128 move onto Cow River 63. 3 workers on CM8 move to CM22. New worker 'BC130' to tile BC222.
T131 - 3 workers on Cow River63 move south to Seige Perilous89. 6 workers on CM22 to CR63
T132 - All 9 workers on Cow River63 and Seige Perilous89 road.

So The Great South Road (GSR) can complete in time and CoD & Python units need not hold each other up

However, there is a bit of a hook around Swindon, where we need Sw4 and BC3 roaded which will also give us guaranteed east-west movement onto the southern road without Python blocking. The three workers at Corinth99 can do that :

T125 - road Cor99
T126 - move to hill Sw4
T127 - road 3/6
T128 - Road complete
T129 - Move to BC3
T130 - Road BC3

The 'Head' of the GSR will be deemed to be tile BC3, as that is two turns from CoS, Izz and Cov.

T132 Last Units ('Stack') in Order of Battle at GSR Head
T133 Stack to BC222
T134 to Cheeky Monkey
T135 to CR63
T136 to SP3
T137 Desination Main Stack

Conclusion

CoD can deliver the following to the Northern Front in 12 turns (T137)
9 Spears, 1 Sword, 10 Cats, 15 Longbows, 11 Horsemen, 1 settler, workers if needed

while maintaining 5 Horsemen and 1 Spear to force a Monkey rearguard in the Icy South

If Python field the same that's 90 units marching on Monkey - twice as many as before, but Monkey may have twice as many themselves.

We can put this to Python and see what they say. Gunpoweder should be available then, though how much cash we'll have for upgrades is another matter.

Avatar Enlargement: We've got the solution

Arrian, care to look at the next save to see which warriors we should disband? We need a couple in the southwest against barbs. Whether we want any for New Plymouth, East Coast and Silkfest depends how exposed we want to be.

If we disband the ones near Cov & Burundy, we should try local, or the cost of maint will exceed the value of shields added to distant cities.

First off, to the city and worker plans.

With regard to the warriors, here's what I'm thinking:

If LL invades us from the west, what are a couple of warriors gonna do? Nada, that's what. I say we disband the couple we have in the Northwest. We can take the Queen Vicky and fortify her at our end of the galley crossing to give us early warning of a LL attack (or would that not help? Hmm).

The Southwest clearly needs warriors to keep the FoW pushed back. Those guys stick around.

The East Coast, particularly any we have in the northeast... can probably go too.

In the southeast... I think any we have there need to stick around in case monkey starts sailing north with a raiding party. Those warriors can be used to deny the best landing zones to the enemy, while we scramble to get other units over there.

In the end, I'm probably talking about 3-4 warriors here.

I'll try and have a look. Fair warning, though: I'm home alone with the dog tonight until about 8pm, since my gf will be at a softball game. The odds of me getting online are slim. Tomorrow is a possibility. Thursday we pack and leave for my parent's house, and Friday morning we fly to Ohio, returning Monday night.

I trust your judgement as much as mine on this, Cort.
