Major Past and Current RPs
1.)The Shining War (Past)- similar to the Vietnam War fought by the US, Eredronian troops came to the aid of the Southeast Asian country of Naori, where the communist forces of Galdania were seeking to overthrow the government. The war resulted in hundreds of thousands of military and civilian casualties, and many Eredronian cities were heavily damaged by Galdanian missile attacks on the western coast. The war ended with Naori divided, the North operated by Eredron and the South by Galdania. When Genyan troops stationed in the south moved north through the DMZ, hostilities broke out again. However, a peaceful end was negotiated quickly. North Naori ceased to be an Eredronian Principality when Eredron oversaw the reunification of the country; however, a military base is still operated in Naori.
2.) Operation Safekeeping (Past) - Officially a peacekeeping operation undertaken at the request of Mauritius, this short military campaign resulted in the swift takeover of the island of Mauritius. When Eredron naval forces were deployed in the Middle East following Saddam Hussein's illegal occupation of Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, it became apparent Eredron was lacking the ability to project itself into the Middle East region. Mauritius was quickly determined to be the most suitable point for a naval refueling station, of which construction began shortly after Eredron gained sovereignty over the island. A major airfield and military base is also maintained.
3.) Operation Vanguard (Current) - This campaign began with the amphibious landing of Eredronian troops on the African nation of Tanzania. Despite an initially spectacular ground victory, Eredron agreed to withdraw its troops in return for secret agreements with the local powers of Sniper Country and Western Asia. After a short period of time, the Eredron Expeditionary Force returned to the continent of Africa, when troops landed in Walvis Bay, Namibia. Faced with the Eredronian troop buildup and certain defeat, the Namibian government entered into negotiations with Eredron, declaring itself a Principality within weeks of the landing. Once the troop presence in Namibia was consolidated, an offensive was launched into the neighboring country of Botswana. Following a short period of heightened tensions with Chellis, Botswana was divided with Eredron taking the majority of the territory and declaring it the Principality of Botswana. The 400,000 man strong Eredron Expeditionary Force remains in Africa, with nearly 200,000 men massing on the Angolan border.
