	Mafia - story generating thread Avatar Enlargement: We've got the solution

How about if we have a story-generating thread for mafia games, to help out the gm's in case they can't think of any ideas themselfes?
Of course this thread shouldn't be about creating ideas for clue-hiding and such... just the basic idea

I'm pretty sure there's some out there who's got some great ideas, so this is the chance to get them out to public... usually the sign-up threads don't last long before the game starts, so there's not much time to come up with ideas then...

I'll post some ideas later...

Actually, I've been meaning to GM another Mafia game for some time now, though it seems the games always end when I'm not around, so when I come by the sign-up thread, someone's already got the game covered.

So, I had a couple ideas, actually.

One is to honor the arrival of Cassini to Saturn: basically the set up is in the future, where a bunch of people are one a spaceship headed... somewhere. They all die mysteriosly. The storyteller is a Hal-like computer-gone-mad. It also always seems like he is the one responsible for the deaths. However, of course, it is two of the crew members that are really to blame.

Another idea was inspired by a movie I saw recently. Pretty bad one actually. Basically, the set-up is in the head of a person with a severe multiple-personality disorder. Every player is one of the dude's personalities. They start dying. Every time a personality dies, that corresponds to how the guy in real life kills someone. In his real kills, lie clues as to who in his head causes others to die.

Can't say I've followed those games, so what do I know

Maybe he could post the list here, to keep all ideas in the same place (instead of the gm has to hunt down old threads to find a good idea)

My latest ideas for mafia games is:

Hollywood maniac:
Each player plays a role from different movies... It could either be that everybody plays some role of some action hero (Spider-man meets Commando), or maybe with a more horror style where one plays that guy from Scream, while another one plays Freddy Krüger (or whatever they're called)

Time disorder
Each player plays some random person from history at any random time... one player could be Bill Clinton while another one could be Cleopatra

Das dritte Reich is an excellent story I think. Imagine how long der Fuhrer would live.
I think if the Third Reich features only Germans and possibly some Britts, Yanks or French, then it could be very entertaining. I would hate to offend anyone though. In fact, I considered to do the Third Reich in mafia 20 but dismissed the idea then.
