Probable Schedule of Upcoming Turnplay Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations

Edit: Updated from today, 2106 played and sent. Seems I'm consistently overly optimistic about the other teams play rate.

I did a little casual math on the turn-play of the various teams, depicting what are the average amounts of time that a team holds the turn before sending on. I'm only working with the last few turns. Anyways, this has led me to create an Estimated Time of Play schedule for our team, which will let us keep a deadline in mind for turn decisions.

2105: Posted to us: 10:14 July 9

2105: Sent to Angels: 12:30 July 9

2106: Recieved and sent: 14:10 July 11

2107: Send to Angels: 16:00 July 13

2108: Send to Angels: 18:00 July 15

2109: Send to Angels: 20:00 July 17

These are just projections, but show that if we want to keep an average turn rate we need to have a plan ready 24 hours after posting our turn. Scratch that. 48 hours after our turn is more like it.

Good thinking. We need to start looking ahead a little more than we have been so far. ie my post on what to do when our 2 bases get to size 2. If we know where we're going, the individual moves might be a little easier to play.

Thanks Net, how about you start a thread for 2105? We seem to need a lot of space for each turn, and keeping the discussion on the turn in question would be nice too.

I thought a separate thread for each turn was a good idea too but since Obstructor set it up as it is now I didn't want to make any changes for the time being.

Obstructor, we all miss you!

Go ahead and make a new thread for 2105. The turn planning thread is confusingly named anyways. I've already made a few threads in agreement with Obstructor. He seemed to encourage me to make them rather than him. Now it's your turn

The turn seems stalled with the Morgans of all people, so push back the estimated time of play by 8 hours for now.

Inflate your Upload Space

Is it just me, or is it strange that the turn to us was downloaded 8 times, while the turn coming from us hasn't even yet been downloaded? The gap with the first turn was only 2 hours. It's been 7 or so since I posted to Angels.turn thread

They do, but I don't know if they have a backup. Maki played their last turn, and I heard she and E_N were the official duo.

I'm glad we are so well prepared. Good working with you Net Warrior.

GAIA continues its misinformation campaign (no one noticed that one turn was downloaded 13 times :cute I download several times so that it appears we are VERY active to other factions and it seems to work just as I expected. I downloaded this turn six times.

It's good to have you contributing again Illuminatus. Keep up your GAIA activities.

Did you see my post asking whether the other factions where notified "in game" as to rainfall patterns being altered near Fallow Times" as a result of the earthquake? Drogue was suppose to get back to us on this but he hasn't do so yet. I guess there was so much going on that he's forgotten.

So that's what's going on with the downloads! Nice campaign of misinformation. Clever == Gaians is the last thing people will suspect.

Yeah, Drogue is busy. He seems to have a mountain of unprocessed PMs and posts still to deal with. I do hope he doesn't get back to us on the 'rainfall changes' thing. It's a good mystery for us.

I'll be around for the next 12-16 hours to play the turn, which seems stalled again. How fast was turnplay in the previous ACDGs?

The ever-vigilant Smack has espied the turn moving into Spartan hands at 4:50 AM 7-11 Apolyton time. We can expect to play 2106 ~ 14:00. I hope to be conscious at that time. Chaos Theory should be returning from his, ahem, scouting mission shortly. It has been my pleasure and honor to fill in for our illustrious turnplayer.
