Gramps,
I'm sorry to spoil your pleasure in this game. We've been playing over a year now and indeed J2k has been acting like a greedy expander. I would have hated to see the whole map turn into Jasonblabla's. He couldn't have expected to have us sit back and watch the roll over show...

Most of all I regret that we can't take J2k himself down as he looks to have dissapeared. Looking at the powergraph there's still a long way to go before J2k/you become a regular power in the game. However, with a new ruler there is less reason for a "burn-him-to-the-ground" policy. Maybe we can get to peace negotiations?

We'll need a little time to decide on the terms I guess. Probably along the following lines:

1. Change all Jasonblabla's into non-narcistic names.
2. Return Witt's cities.
3. Stop building the pyramids
4. I don't have an overview of your city-count, but balance is required on the mainland.

This is just a German proposal which hasn't been discussed with any other nation. Feel free to burn it to the ground.
BTW no. 1. is non negotiable

My German (Dutch) friend is correct. The name pollution must stop. Whatever you did to overthrow and sieze power in Sumeria has created a situation where negotiation may be now possible. Again, I also cannot speak for everyone, the Roman and Iroquois opinion on this issue should be obtained.

1) rename cities more appropriately

2) stop building pyramids

3) "look" at what cities need to be sent to whomever

Gramps - I can concur with McMeadow's requests, and from what I can see above, we seem to be reaching agreement.

#1 makes me laugh beacuse I rename the cpatured Jason Shores to the more Roman sounding, Jasonium.

I too commit to a name change. I think I will call it Narcissism. "Lest we forget".

I had expected to have started a big discussion, but it goes pretty smooth. So how do we dismantle the powerhouse Sumeria has become to such an extant that it becomes a regular power? Would it be settled if Witt reacquires his cities?

And how do we proceed concerning the agreements we made on pending research?

For my part I'd be willing to settle for only having the area of Jason Beach if not the city. If that city makes a settler and disbands to move north to the other incense then I would be satisfied and move my own settler in there.

My only issue is getting Grand River and Niagara Falls back under Iroquis control - I beleive they are currently called Jason River and Jason Falls.

For the record, I would have been hitting your southern cities in a few turns if this hadn't come up. I had staked out the incense there with a unit and had a settler heading there when J2K sent a settler and escort. Despite my request that he settle the incense closer to him instead of cutting off my ability to settle anything else, he went ahead and settled there and warned me that if I tried to settle the other incense it would be an act of war. He didn't engender much goodwill from me with that, but you have.
