Gladiator Final- Round CCMXVII

The Doctor (yet again) sends his shield spinning toward his opponent, whilst Sir Chaunkalot is has finally figured out which end of his sword is the pointy one. As the contestants charge towards one another, a freak accident in both time and space occurs and not only do they actually hit and damage each other, but wind up channeling their kinetic energies on the same wavelength. So the damage each inflicts on the other is multiplied by the factor of their foes damage, and sends each warrior hurtling across the length of the stadium. They pick themselves up and stagger back towards their respective entrances.

Each contestant takes 312=961 pts of damage, and have 39 hit points left each. Now accepting orders for round CCMXVIII.

What! Bob won a match! A close shave though, Chaunkalot left with 88 HP, Bob with 91. That must have been a very boring fight, by the way.

I fear though that Bob will receive a mighty spanking from Lord Drogue, who must be seething in rage after not winning a single game in the first set. And Spacius Maximus, who came out of both of his matches completely untouched - this does not bode well for our debutante.

Not too bad, but this is where the math part of the game comes in. Had you attempted to go for the KO, you may have succeeded... and in doing so not only would have gotten yourself another point, but would have denied gjramsey 3 points. Could be important down the line.
In the last game I made a last-minute decision to shift 4 points from 'attack' to 'power', which changed what would have been a loss against Spaced to a win & my ultimate victory. Had I lost I would have been in a 3-way tie for fourth place and may not have gotten in the semis at all.

Indeed. I hadn't read the rules properly and vastly underestimated the significance of power... so ramsey should consider himself very lucky. Now, of course I attempted to go for the KO, but failed to do so.
