Well, the civ3 suggestion list was huge and given how little civ3 is from civ2 I guess most of it still applies.
I'm wondering from the old vets what have you learned when making the original list. Was the thing far too detailed, too big, too radical or too repetitive? Anything?

I think our lists are potentially a great resource for game designers. People will always say that ideas didn't get in, but this is because these boards are littered with a combonation of contradictory ideas (some contradictory ideas from the same people, sometimes!) and quaky notions.
But there are a few neat ideas out here, and systems that can certainly fuel a brainstorming session for Civilization or any other game. The fact that the people making this list genuinly care about the games we want to play means that we are ignored at the designers' loss on the one hand, but we are listened to at their peril on the other.
Take our ideas as kernels of inspirations, and with a healthy amount of salt, and no harm can come.
If one good idea is born or honed on these boards, then all of our threads and arguments were worth that time.
