I agree that Arcanum had different gameplay when you were male or female (particularly 2 side quests: one with a club where only males were allowed into, and another one -Ms Lilly's-).
Seeing a girl running around the screen is probably the main reason after stats/gameplay.

i've never played a girl unless there was a real benefit, and no pixelated boobs don't count. in quake 2 everyone copied thresh and played with female models because they were quieter and smaller model wise(even if the hitbox was the same) so they'd be harder to see/hit.
