Oh you are going to ever love this...

So the Warrior survived the Barb attack with no damage, and the others fortified. I attacked the one N of us and won with no damage. The other one should move across the river next to us next turn. I think I might leave it actually, as it is no threat to our cities and they will have warriors soon. The red arrow points out the location of the other barb.

But what did my advancement-exploration discover....

Asylum has done a warrior, the road between X and Feudality is completed and both Asylum and Feud are now at pop 2.

Our empire grows...

I am playing bullrush with the barb warrior trying to catch the Feud warrior as he heads NW for the Mtns (that barb will die an oxygen-deprived death ) when we spot a German on the furthest peak!

Got spare money?

Germany has only one city besides their capital. They offer to trade us WC (which we get in 4 turns anyway) for CB. They also have ALphabet and BW that they will not trade. They are annoyed at us (!) I decline the offer.

Checking Egypt, they have three cities and BW, Alphabet, WC and Mysticism. They still do not have the Wheel, which we do, and the Germans do. Egypt and Germany may meet soon, in which case they will certainly trade and our advantage will be gone. I gotta get The Wheel to Egypt and CB to Germant for the most we can right now.

We can get fromEgypt for the Wheel: BW and 14 gold, or WC and 98 gold. Well, since WC is really close anyway, I opt for BW.

The Egyptians already have IW!

I trade CB to Germany for WC. They have no gold to even things up, but hey, it's better than nothing.

Since no-one has it, I choose to go for Horseback Riding next. 23 turns ATM, as 20% lux is needed to stop Asylum going all rioty.

The Egyptians move their warrior around the culture radius of Feud. Another German warrior is spotted in the hills and Feud builds their worker.

We spot another hut, but right next to a German warrior.

Quickpoll suggests we pop that hut, so I do so. It is more barbs as expected. One of them will attack us, one the Germans.

Well there was a kerfuffle, the barbs are mostly gone, and there are loads of German tourists around this time of year... And note the German city, plus Carthage. Carthage has Alphabet and Mysticism that we don't, are cautious towards us, have three cities, and we can't ATM trade anything with them. Here's hoping we get HBR first to trade with all three.

Having got orders from GF to road the forest S of X (and thus get towards a road through all three cities), we play on. I am one turn from stopping, where Feud will reach pop 2 and X reaches 3, when the exploring Asylum warrior finds a Hittite in the jungle. They (like almost everyone else) have Alphabet, Mysticism and IW. We can't trade with them. If we get HBR first we will be able to get a LOT out of it.

And the whole world so far. Note the Hittite SW of Asylum, the Germans NW of us. The Carth warrior was just west of Konigsberg on the Mtns, and the Egyptians are somewhere West of us.
