	CoC: Arnelos Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations

I am calling for the removal of Arnelos from the post of Consul for the ISDG.

He is hardly ever around and is not doing his job in a way that I would consider proper.

I am declaring myself as a candidate as his replacement. I welcome others to apply as well.

I like Arnelos; but I think he's not the right person for the job at this time. We need someone who will be here and will attend to things in a timely fashion.

Except for the way you formulated this CoC, I share your feeling, that Arnelos' absence may be a bit inconvenient at this time. I think that we can better have a CoC now than later when the war is going to start. I therefore support this CoC for the reason of Arnelos' absence of which we know the reason, rather than his performance as consul. I hope Arnelos is able to return to us within 45 hours from now.

I wish he could at least post saying if he's going to back or not... all his PBEMs are frozen and not a peep.

So unless he reappears this weekend I have no choice but to reluctantly support this despite the fact he has been a great consul.

As for his PBEM's, I've already Posted (in the PBEM forum) that I'm looking for a replacement for him, in the Seafaring save.

Anyone who is interested, please post in my thread there AND PM me.

As for this, I'm uncertain....

He may or may not answer. That's not the point. It's his current action, or rather inaction and future ability to act that I'm questioning. I seriously doubt that he would suddnly reappear and say that he can devote a certain amount of time towards this game that would satisfy me. His participation has been wanning. It's not a surprise.

Anyone interested in taking over for Arnelos in another PBEM "FAM 4"?

All of my current PBEM's are dead. However, I myself have not been around as much as I would like lately..... new house and the old house isn't sold yet.... ouch.

Anyways, I can sub in for a bit if needed. I should slowly (over the next week or so) be fully back. Any PBEM should be conquests however.....

I hope arny comes back, even if he isn't that active.

I still have just under 24 hours to get the "replacement proposal" up. I was hoping for few people to step up and apply for the job...

Well, there was several regulars, with 1 Consul Present, when Beta had made that statement, in chat.

Knowing how RL can restrict how much you can do, I don;t feel that him doing it that way, would be a problem.

We just don't know, asleep. He hasn't been on Poly for that we have seen for some time. The last post I can find of his is Wednesday July 14th, a full week ago now.

Perhaps the French have caught him. July 14th is after all the national holiday of France.

Perhaps Arnelos didn't want to storm the Bastille with them when he coincidentally was in Paris on the 14th. And because of that the French imprisoned them in their stormed Bastille.

Sorry about this guys.

My computer was fried in a thunderstorm - that's what happened.

That said, I *HAVE* gotten far more busy with work and personal issues and it's probably best that I not spend so much time being Consul here anyhow. I certainly don't hold the CoC against any of you. You all acted responsibly in calling one and responsibly in replacing me for my inactivity.

I'll try to stay around now that I have a computer again, but I must confess that my time is not as ample as it was while I served as Consul.
