Strange error trying to start games in C3C Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

Just bought Conquests, Installation and everything went just fine but everytime I try to start a new game a popup appears with

"Datei nicht gefunden
Art/Units/Siedler/Siedler.INI"

(File not found
Art/Units/Settler/Settler.INI)

Can anybody tell me how to fix that?

(If anybody can help me I'm going to build a memorial for him in my garden )

Do you have the original civIII game? Conquest requires that you have it installed.

If you do have it, uninstall and delete all, then install CivIII and donot apply any patches. Then install Conquest and apply 1.22 patch for C3C.

No, same problem + Now I can't even start the normal CivIII because for some reason it doesn't recognize my CD no more... Thats stupid!

What are the language versions of the games and the patches? IIRC they finally got 1.22 to work for all, but before then there was some issues.

BTW have you send on the issue to Atari, yeah it may take awhile, but..

They're all in german.

After I deinstalled the patch for c3c, civIII works fine, again but some of the sounds do not work anymore...

Should I perhaps try to upgrade civIII first to the newest version before I install c3c?


Something in my head tells me I should've never bought this addon...

Put an end to popups!

I know lots of players have it working. I would wait to see if some of those that are using the German version have any input.

That's just the point which makes me feel frustrated. If many people would have the same problem, somebody could tell me how to make it work.

My computer is some kind of cursed I think


Naja, so I will wait for help from the forums or in worst case contact Atari for I MUST play this Addon or I'll have to die as a unhappy, cynic and moody old man one day...
