but it would be nice to customize the titles. yes I know we want the civ2 feel for these forums. but often in civ2 I customize the titles in the rules.txt.

Actually, we never used to do the custom titles, then somebody decided to relent for some Queens, then it got extended to Princesses. Those two are it so far, and there's only a few.

Otherwise the general policy is no custom titles.

A pretty acurate view of things. Any female (well, as far as we can prove on a forum) that makes it to prince level can request to have a gender specific title. In most cases (I've never turned one down yet) it will be honored. It is up to them to tell us when they make the next level...
Since there really aren't that many, it seems like it won't be too much work in the long run

The Apolyton legend titles were well earned. Best threads the OT has produced by a long way. (I wonder if it is a good time to remember Lancer's contribution, by the way.)

If we had anything of quite such note again it would be sad if it went unmarked.

And one or two of the folk that post/things that happen on-topic might be deserving of recognition. This year we have had oedo's xxxo and recently there has been other striking stuff on the Civ2 strategy board.
