	CoC: Replacement Proposal Support Apolyton, buy Alpha Centauri

An elected official may only propose a Change of Command vote on himself, and not on another one. i. Any elected official may not be the subject of a CoC for five turns after his election.

It appears that BigFree waited until there were just 24 minutes before the CoC expired. Wow. And looking through the CoC thread, no one really stepped up.

I stopped visiting this forum a few weeks ago and I won't get into my reasons for doing so, but tonight I was feeling angst about my exodus ... I found the save in my inbox and heard about Arnelos suddenly abandoning the team, and got a frantic PM from CFC wanting to chat ... there's still a lot going on here and it seems like more and more people are walking away from it or just not really caring that much about it.

And I was one of those people.

I'm going to set aside my issues. This team needs people to be active and to help out. It especially seems to need them now more than ever.

I'm not sure of the legalities of announcing this. Frankly, I this it's marginal at best, but I feel this is for the best:

I'd like to vote for myself as Consul.

Maybe I'll get a few write-in votes, but either way I'm back to help out.

The difficulty is that there is no dealing with this in the rules.

YOu could read it as a loophole allowing anything, or as an absolute cut-off - the poll is posted within 72 hours and anyone later than that cannot be included in the poll, as it would necessitate making a new poll too late for the CoC to be counted.


A potential (although not as good) solution is to somehow let the CoC lapse and redo it...

Upon further examination the Constitution does not say that a person must decalre theri candidacy in the forums. And, being that both WIA and Togas and Beta had done so, and alos within the 72 hours deadline, this poll is invalid and a new poll will be started post haste!
