Any Other Things To Be Done
Purchase a barbarian slave worker from PAL as soon as possible. Gold does not need to be exchanged for it to abide by the UN rules.

Change science rate to 70% (+3 gpt, philo in 4 turns) because of CDG's inability to use their foreign relations and click "Accepted" like good little dead people. --GK

Sorry, goina have to delay to tuesday just after work. Had a power outage due to lightning, that just came back on. But I have to go to bed now.... work starting at 5 am .... yuck. anyways, if I cannot get lunch hour tomorrow to do this, I will do it as soon as I get home from work, say around 6pm or so. As the save is not here yet, shoulnd be a major issue, but I feel I need to say sorry as I didn' t live up to what I wanted to schedule wise.

So, yes, contact PAL and ask them if they'll gift us a worker.

That's not a bad idea, Hot_E. In addition to the message telling him in no uncertain terms exactly what to do to accept a deal before sending it, we should do this part ourselves.

PAL asked us a couple of turns ago if we spoted any CDG activity towards the north of the CDG core specifically in the area of the Ivory up there PAL intends to settle on.

Have we seen any activity? I would like to answer this mail with PAL and then get onto the issue of barb worker purchase for a nominal fee and future possible tech trades with CDG post Republic.

Whoops, yeah.

We don't have any units watching the area due north of their small core, which is where they'd head through to get to the ivory. So we have no idea if they're sending a settler or anything else up there.

I haven't been watching their population closely, so I'm afraid I can't tell you what our guess is on whether they have any settlers still out there after the founding of Possumopolis.

I'd say it's about the same distance - give or take a few tiles. If CDG was acting in a strategic manner, they'd either wait to settle that ivory, or do we what we're doing for iron and build a colony. Though, knowing what they did in the PTWISDG, I wouldn't be suprised if a CDG settler is on it's way out there. No matter, though, since it'll be hopelessly corrupt and cut off from the core.

There is Two Ivory starting at 7 tiles due north of Zarigueya. Right along the east coast.

Those are the tiles/ Ivory area PAL is talking about.

And they are one tile closer to CDG than us.

PALwas talkng about a while back snatching the Ivory and using that for there jump off city for the CDG attack.

I've been watching CDG and their pop drops, but we haven't seen anything else. None of their units have moved into our area of sight. Every turn we check for a new city, but so far nothing. It's likely that they're moving for the ivory, but we won't know until they build something.

Lemme put on my secretary hat and Ill do this for you.

I got the Togas email and I think I have the OCT_X email. All I need is Klo's email and we should be good to go. I need to talk to FP anyway, the only thing that stopped me last night was I didn't get home till 2000 local and when I checked AIM he was "Away from the computer". Its *usually* easier to get him closer to dinner time.
