Yeah... you never do "anything" wrong... somebody else is always at fault... you aren't a spammer... everybody else is a spammer... you are always in the right...
Your act is getting old Dookie... learn to take resposibilites for your actions, and maybe people will start taking you seriously.

I really wanted to let this go, but I saw that this thread increased from 12 posts to 33(!) just while I was at work. I sent Chegitz a PM telling him that after some thought, I'm assuming that he had a bad day and I'll let bygones be bygones. To quote:
----------
Subject: Hey, are you ok?
Body: The "I will have you killed" comment was not the Chegitz that I know from these boards. Were you having a bad day or something?
Anyway, it is no big deal - as long as you didn't mean it that is!
--------
But...
I've got to wonder about a moderating system that has decided that talking too much (spamming) is more serious than a death threat and should be dealt with in a harsher manner. Both Ming and MtG have told me that it isn't a serious matter, with MtG going so far as saying "I've had a lot bigger things than words pointed my direction," which somehow is supposed to reassure me. But, let Dookie and, say, PH "chat" in a thread and they get 2 weeks vacation.
Am I missing something here?

Apparently, since you included me in that comment. I haven't banned anyone for any significant time for spamming - and then only if they are spamming someone else's thread, warned to stop, and don't.
I looked at the post, and decided it didn't rise to the level of a real threat, and even you admit the post was totally out of character. I don't publicly discuss private communications with posters, ever, but I have made it clear in the past that I may talk to people privately about things that happen on the forum, and decide if anything is warranted. Under different circumstances, I might decide a post like that required some action.
My remark wasn't intended to reassure you. It was intended to let you know that I didn't evaluate the post as being serious, and maybe you ought to step back, look at the poster, look at the post, and figure it was maybe just an angry or sarcastic remark that came off badly.
