Last night, in the OT's Michael Moore thread, Chegitz Guevara threatened, in all seriousness, to have me killed for, supposedly, thread jacking the thread. Is this a first for this site, or have there been other death threats?

Just wondering.

Italics boy can't even use the name change function without making a fool of himself, so I doudt that the threat is seroius. In the time I have been here, I have been mocked, made fun of, belittled, but never threatened with death. My advice would be, Don't sing it, bring it!

I thought it was a rather amusing line. Very to-the-point, rather EvC-esque. The fact that chegitz probably couldn't and wouldn't fight his way out of a paper bag is what helped it seem so amusing to me

Amusing? Could've been but for the fact that

a. He didn't indicate he was joking, either by the smilie that sets the tone for the post or by any smilie in the post.
b. Nothing in Chegitz's previous posts indicates that he ever does anything in an "EVC-esque" manner.
c. It was directed towards me. I tend to view my own demise quite unfavorably, I can assure you!

Everyone:

I have to admit to being made a bit unsettled by Chegitz's post to JohnT. If someone made that sort of threat towards me — regardless of symbology — I'd be worried because, frankly, the Internet isn't quite as anonymous as some folks think it is.

At the very least, the adminstrators and/or moderators should speak privately with Chegitz about this. He should also get a vacation and PCR, for what it's worth. Death threats should never be taken lightly, particularly so when they're as "direct" as Chegitz implied towards JohnT.

Just my two bits.

Anyway, it's unacceptable behaviour in my book the way it was posted. A restriction would be in order.
