Very cool! Just a slight plug for the CtP: SL, but might a link to that forum be added to that site? It is kind of a CtP1 tournament, after all (even if I am on one of the loosing teams... )

So, how would one get a tournament started then? Or is there a FAQ for it somewhere?

Isn't this exactly what the ACS is supposed to be about: Playing Civ? It's an excellent (though not really that original ) idea, and I'll probably start participiating in it early next month.

But why does Civ2 only have ToT and MGE Halls of Fame? Can't you submit games from Civ2 Classic/Conflicts in Civilization/Fantastic Worlds? And why does the MGE version say 2.78 (which is clearly the version number of "Fantastic Worlds")?

And how do you expect to handle the extra games from ToT (i.e. the Extended Original, Sci-Fi and Fantasy games)? They can hardly be compared, not to mention they have different civs, the difficulty levels have different names, and there are even different victory types, I believe.

Why are there version numbers at all? It's not like that would prevent people from submitting games with a different version. Aren't the subsection enough of an indication where people should submit their game?

What happens if someone beats his own highscore? Can he have his HoF entry updated or is he just out of luck?

Will the entries from the old Civ2 HoF be added?

No idea, but I don't think Classic and Fantastic Worlds are much less prevalent than MGE (and certainly more so than ToT). But if that's one of your criteria, you could probably question keeping Civ2 altogether.
But I guess having 5 different categories would be a bit of overkill for a game as old as civ2, so nevermind. And I suppose they could be added later if need be.
