Super Rex & research, with a concerned effort to get to Knights, Muskets & Caravels, followed by a joint invasion against who ever appears weaker. We should have a really nice invasion force when we get Zeus up and running.

5. What do you think is happening on the other continent between BAT and GWT? (Assuming they are both on another continent)
I am guessing that they are on two separate landmasses, but are close enough to have made currach contact with each other. As nobody on our landmass has made contact with them, I suspect that there is some good deep water between the two. We need to get a navy up ASAP after the war to explore and colonize

If BAT and GWT are indeed seperated, by even the tiniest bit of water, that would be great! It wwill mean that it would be that much easier to invade one of them and not have to worry about the other coming to the "rescue" so easily. Instead of just building war like units, they would have to build transports as well.

So, if they are seperated..

GK what makes you think they are separated? I have seen nothing to lead me to that belief. And from our intell thread we are almost 99% sure they have contact.

I will say though I have played "What if" #1 and #2 posted by FortyJ at the UN.

These were maps out of the final seven (I think it was seven) that were disguarded for various reasons by FortyJ and Elucidus. FortyJ posted them as SP games for people to try out if they wanted to.

In game one the human CIV was on its own landmass, but easy accessible to the next closest landmass via curragh.

My guess is however that is one of the reasons why the map was disguarded. But then its all a guess isn't it

Just guesswork from the number of random maps that I have played is all. I think they do have contact, but I just have a gut feeling that they are on separate landmasses.

The other option that I see is that PAL does have contact, and is playing us.

If they had contact, I think it would be through curragh only; else they wouldn't let us wander through theri territroy.

But, I seriously doubt they do. If they did, and they wanted to keep it secret, they would not have let us through. Seeing a curragh off of PAL's coast is a possibility. If I were PAL and trying to hide contact, I would not have given us permission to pass through.

I would think contact with PAL would give us some more indicators. Like how are they getting techs so fast?

PAL has more population than we do thanks to their agricultural trait; that's the only reason they do tech at a faster rate than we do.

True, I was referring to them getting a lot of techs before us which would lead one to believe that they were "trading on the side with someone else".

Now you can say they might be shunning them, BUT if they eventually want cooperation with the other contonent for a three way gang bang, why would they?

Unless this whole alliance thing is just one large sham.

They would not shun them (if they met them); they would let us know about them (if they met them).

It wouldn't make any sense the other way around.

My above post and your post lead me to believe that the possibility of a meet without us knowing is slim.
