Thanks Mark. Yes they are very good ideas IMO. I'd already seen them, since I've gone pretty carfully through any forum that might have good "civ3" material in it.

Shucky and I seem to think along similar lines as to what should be done to improve civ-type games. Most of what he mentions was already included in some way... if not in the written up specs in my mental one

I contacted him a ways back. Unfortunately for our project he has been seduced by CTP and isn't available to critique us or provide new ideas.
