May I build an airbase in the southern part of your country? Perhaps in the lands you got from the Byzantines? I'm not planning on attacking anyone but if anyone should declare war on me I'd like a place to quickly attack from.

Oh, dear. The Greeks ran over one of my submarines and started a war. The Arabs have jumped in on my side but this is very unfortunate.

I will send troops south to help protect the Arabs against Greek invasion but I will try for peace as soon as I can. I will leave the wall preventing Greeks from crossing my border in place but I don't know how long it will stay in place of the Greeks come through the Arabs.

Oh, spit. There goes my perfect record of no war.

Oh, and I couldn't build an airbase on your territory.

What a strange war. The Arabs and Greeks are technologically advanced but are fighting with cavalry and riflemen. The Arabs have some TOW infantry they're using but not many. The Greeks dropped two cruise missles on the Arabs but after that it was horsies and riflemen.
The Greeks razed an Arab city and, worst of all, THEY SANK THE CUTTY SARK!!!!!

I have entered Greek terrority with a large number of mech. infantry, some artillery, and a few units of modern armour.

basically I need / want one city within greece, thus I can then pump my 50 jet fighter squadrons in there, and utilize them to crush the greeks

your mighty Cutty Shark has been avenged, the battleship that is in that area was sunk by joint airforce and artillary attacks.

This is getting ridiculous. The Arabs stumbled over one of my submarines and declared war on me. There are now two huge stacks of troops on my side of the border. *sigh*

I took a Greek city and moved all my jet fighters there. I guess I'll be moving them back very soon.

The city I took from the Greeks has become target practice for everyone. Watching Greek bombers getting shot down is pretty neat, though. ^^

I can send you saltpetre but why do you need it at this stage of the game?

I saw the rubble. I need to make peace with the Arabs. They have too many units for me to fight. I'm going to take one of their northern towns where they can't get reinforcements quickly. He should agree to peace then.

The Greeks were bombarding me with artillery from behind their border. I shelled them in return then took out their defences with modern armour and captured three artillery. The only good part of the turn . . . .

The Arabs are tough, tough, bastards. And there are so many of them. Still, I managed to take New Mecca. But then they took Swamp Thing. I will try to get peace next turn. All my cities at the border are starving to death because of Arab pillaging.

we are building a new rail network at the war front
the idea is to push the rail as close t the next objective as possible
then ship in the 15 new modern armour regiments stright to the battle front, thus relieveing the last attack to regain and damage etc

Paddy is the scary one. I was being Mr. Peaceful until the Greeks and Arabs triggered wars by accidentally running into my submarines. Why was this not fixed in a patch. I hope it gets addressed in Civ4.

you may notice that the greeks have pulled their border back a bit from your forward base

well the new rail link is working, I am literally parking 20 new modern armour rgt's outside of athens ready to drop in next turn
as can be seen in this pic

also you can see the new available space for settlement, although I hope no nation sends anyone their, it is quite the killing ground

By ICS I mean putting cities all over each other (Infinite City Strategy), like in the succession game. Judging from the map here, you do this all the time. Extremely close spacing at various places, right? But since it seems to work, I can only envy you for the amount of micromanagement you can handle.

Yes, 50 jets is very neat. Though personally, I just love BBs.
