Help!!! Problems with running MoO3 on a Samsung Syncmaster 910N TFT Screen Support Apolyton or Terrorists Win

Hi y'all,

Recentely I've bought a new computer with a 19" TFT screen, a Samsung Syncmaster 910N to be precise.

Unfortunately I cannot run Master of Orion 3 anymore, without getting a strange message on my monitor.

Does anyone have a clue if it is possible to run Master of Orion 3 on a tft monitor?

Changing resolutions, monitor settings or videocard settings didn't do anything,... damn. Hope anyone has another idea.

Greetz,

Sniper

Avatar Enlargement: We've got the solution

Does the monitor support 800x600 resolution? If not, you're going to have a problem as that's the only resolution the game uses. Aside from that, I've no idea what the problem might be...what was the strange message?

Been there, done that,... Support Apolyton or Terrorists Win

Hey,

Yes, the monitor supports 800 x 600 resolution. I've already tried every resolution possible but the message keeps floating through my screen.

The message I'm talking about is this one: "Not running in optimum mode. Recommended mode: 1280 x 1024 60 hz".

MoO3 actually runs in the mode mentioned above (it's the highest resolution possible for my monitor), it is possible to play the game for a few seconds,... then the screen goed black and only the message remains.

Sigh,... it's a shame to see all my work in the saved game get lost in this way.

Thanks for the help, if something else pops to mind don't hessitate to post it.

Greetings,

Sniper

Maybe its youre hz Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

I can only think its because of your Refresh Freq it should be running at about 60 - 75/80 for windows mode (800 x 600) and to be safe switch to 1024 x 768 and set the monitor refresh rate to 60 hertz or 70 hertz

this should give u a guideline to the problem, if you pick up the problem in windows then i can only think the monitor itself is to blame or the vga card has a problem commucating with the monitor at any given setting (least likely)

I dont know wich windows you have but genrally the hertz setting can be found by right clicking on desktop
-> propeties
--> settings
----> advanced
--------> monitor

mess around with it just dont keep it over 90 for months on end you shorten the life of youre screen.
