I have two:

1) The 3-way chat between CFC/GCA/Poly before the war between those two started. I think it was the climax of our early game diplomacy and we got off as demonstrating that we were without a doubt the most professional team at least on this side of the world, the less prone to rush into stupid in-game decisions because of ego or emotion but with cool calcultaing logic (yeah, and I handled that chat in No-Bullshit Mode so that's why I remember it so fondly )

2) Getting Feudalism. I remember the Consuls (well don't recall if all three of them but nye very much so) against getting Feudalism from a moribund CDG. This required a 3-way trade with CFC and CDG so that they would jump to the medieval era and hopefully get Feud as their free tech. It worked, thanks to behind-the-scenes negotiations made by me and Trip with both those teams (like I said, without the Consuls supporting this). Without Feudalism we would've been at odds to beat GCA in our war which started shortly after.
