I would think the per post option would need something special to work since things like avatar size aren't going to matter as much if it won't be see as often.

Hmmm...I still have a hard time believing that a real lurker could be lured into paying for plus - posts or no posts.

But I get the idea - maybe if the load reduction screen was shown more often, it would be a real benefit, but as it stands. No...

Prove me wrong

1ppd since 1970 is still pretty high though...

I don't see the incentive. I'd be less inclined to post if it cost me more.

That's the biggest problem with it. It creates a DISincentive to post.

With my current activity level on Poly, this might become a better option for me, if the rates aren't too high, just like Mercator suggested. It's that I have been so passive this year on Poly, that regular PLUS prices hurt my wallet more than an activity based pricing. On the other I'm personally fine with the current prices.

Yes, you're a victim. So much so that they specifically gave you a support group, Poly PLUS.

I got an idea. Perhaps we could do something like a spam meter or approval rating. For people who have a lot of posts that have high approval ratings, they could get a discount on PLUS by post count price. This way we would be encouraging high quality posting.

They have? I haven't noticed that they have been down.

Must have something to do with having a Plus membership I guess.

I think you should offer an option for people to pony up some cash for OT posts to count. Maybe for $50.

I bet you could raise some good cash off the OT crowd.

This is a good idea. Perhaps like I've seen on other forums where post counts are sorted into on-topic and off-topic.
