Mark,
you want to do an epic game? Bah!
No, seriously now: I love those little quirks, and I know that many others do, as well - and most of them can be implemented far easier than a lot of "major features" our code cracks are planning. I can't stress it often enough: No one will stand up and say: "Boy, I LOVE the way the map AI is done in this game - that's why I really like playing it!". Sure, they will recognize that AI is pretty advanced, but that simply isn't the stuffe that makes you love a game. On the other hand, I still tell people (as if it had really happened) how the gargoyles in Ultima 6 spoke to me and how scared I was...
So, for instantnce, I'd address the player in the manual as "Excellency" throughout.

Dom..
on the other hand, I no longer play SMAC because the AI is so simple minded and ridiculously easy.
So, while no one may run around praising the AI, people will "vote with their feet" if the game opponents are just stupid.

To clear things out
1) this is ONLY for members of the develpoment team
2) the new title MUST be the position of the member in the development, and should have a sort of "official" tone(shouldn't it?). So, no "Duke of Elington" or "Master of Web"

I don´t mind what you term me. I prefer something that let people immiedetly know what I´m in charge of, in case they want to contact me or something.
Duke of Gov/Research or Gov/Tech is fine by me.
Keli.
