yeah, really sad!

in fact i think it's intolerable!
i propose the following: both teammates can play each other's turn if it takes so long.

and any turn longer than 48 hours gets skipped by a neutral party.

could we agree to this? or has anybody got other proposals how to keep at least a certain pace?

I guess i'm just not that worried about it - this game has a combination of a few slow players and a few other on-and-off busy ones , 8 players, and somewhat longer play than other pbems due to the ... fast action ... I wish it went faster, but I don't think it'll go that much faster if we have teammates playing each others' turns.

But, then again if you all want to play each others' turns, i don't mind. It just seems like it would quickly devolve into a 4 playr 2x4 game, which is not what I had in mind.

I agree turns could be a bit quicker, but a 4X2 isn't ideal.

i know, it sounds completely unrealistic and insane, but it's true
but some good news: i managed to clean the motherboard with isopropanole (95% alcahol) last night. the notebook works again but when reassembling it i forgot one part (as excuse: it was 2:30AM). once i finish it tonight, i should finally catch up with the 5 games that i have been stalling.
