	forgive my horrible confusion... but how do I play a multiplayer game?? Increase the size of your Attachments

i've had civ2 gold for about 2 years and i love playing civ2 but i've never played a multiplayer game. how do i?

1st you need latest patch 1.3

You may find 'Setting up IP games' thread here. People post there when want to play but BEWARE!!! They'll skin you alive so if you want to get some multiplayer practice look for some 'diplomatic' game also here or go to www.zone.com.

2nd...get ICQ. If you already have one,then do not download it for free from www.mirabilis.com

Thread named 'ICQ players list' will provide you with numerous ICQ numbers from other civers.

Yep. If you're playing on a PC. If you're playing on a Mac, you'll need patch 1.1, which is the equivalent.

I drove 1.5 hours to the only shop I could find that had it in my country the day they got it so that I could play it immediately.

Makeo, I had the game a while, but couldn't find the site where anyone would explain to me how it worked. When I found Apolyton, it *was* explained.

So, given your initial response, I request that *you* help our new Civ-player and explain to him/her how it works...
