The prices seem to be getting back to normal after the bugmeat incident. Hell Ramen is getting back up there - I remember they used to sell for 10 meat each. Those were the days, for us buyers at least.

Levelling up is quite easy early on. Tip: go to the mall and search for food/drink items at 10meat a pop. They will get you many extra adventures and are relatively cheap. What's your character's name?

Yeah. Food and alcohol give you more adventures, plus many give you stats as well. http://www.agesoftime.com/kol/index.php has a list of foods and their effects. Don't expect to be able to afford all the different types, but many will be found for a very cheap price.

Once you join the clan you get 500 meat a day which will help you afford food and drink each day. You can get filled up on 10meat foods and drinks for less than 500 meat. I'm not sure how much alcohol is too much for someone who hasn't completed the liver of steel quest though. I know that after the quest you can get to 19 drunkeness before you can no longer adventure.

Like joncha said, rims don't drop in the knoll. You gotta go to the hermit. He also has all kinds of other cool items.
