	Where should Iron Civer PBEM Tournament discussions take place Increase Your PM Length

The problem: there is too much traffic with game threads in the PBEM forum- few people notice new discussion threads because they on the second or third page within 24 hours.

What is the best method to deal with this? When making a choice in the poll, keep in mind that wherever a discussion ends up residing, it can be advertised with links in any other appropriate forum...

2nd option sounds best (the spanish PBEMers have it like that), but who would do the work?

because of that issue i voted MP forum. it's virtually dead and could be misused for such discussions. the only problem is that not many PBEM-interested people will check that forum...

oh, another idea would be to have a PBEM main forum and a PBEM tracker subforum (again, like the castellanos have).

after a game is set up, the players are found and the tracking posts start, the thread gets moved to the tracker subforum (similar as gramphos moves from civ3-creation to civ3-files).

i'd volunteer to do this work. people would just have to send me (and/or someone else) a PM and the thread would be moved.

how does that sound?

ok, i've PMed the "Grand Lord of Apolyton, Owner of all this land as far as the eye can see"


this would be a great improvement for the apolyton PBEM faction and would solve this polls issue instantaniously

we could ask for replacements without having to bump the thread ever 4 hours. finding that 4th player suddenly isn't that hard and the PBEM-forum may even be bookmarked directly by some

I've been informed by the administration that plans are in place to create a forum/subforum structure for Civ3 PBEM. There was a similar period of silence before the creation of the Iron Civer Civgroup, so I don't think plans have changed...

A new game organization forum would be a HUGE plus. I think a lot of people probably miss out on new games because they never see the sign-up threads.
