How would your own perfect government operate ? Support Apolyton or Terrorists Win

What are your most creatively and / or humorously witty thoughts or ideas, on how your perfect government (whatever your own definition of that is) would operate, if you could have full control of one (in either the Rise of Nations game world, the real world, or both) ?

My perfect government would be an ecologically minded meritocracy.

Instead of our current government, which is obsessed with economic greed, trade pacts, and enmeshing itself in the global economy, all by unsustainable means, my government would seek ecological harmony and self-sufficiency. Natural diversity would be the treasure, not money.

There would be no elections in my perfect government, but a high council would exist that selected the most qualified people to run the country. The high council would select new members when needed, and its utmost vision would be to protect nature and maintain sustainable civilisation. The media would glorify the high council whenever possible, so that the general population would come to look upon the council as a wise and benevolent protector of national interests.

The council would be made up of experts on defense, strategy and military affairs; economics, ecology, wildlife preservation and national parks; law and order; arts and culture; and science, technology, and space exploration.

Underneath the High Council would be the Federal Government and High Court, and then local city councils and local courts. State governments would be abolished.

Perhaps referendums on insignificant matters could be held so that the general population felt they had some sayl, and people would be allowed to lobby local and federal governments for change if some matter of concern arose. But the core values of the government would not be changeable by corporate interests or groups with different agendas.

My perfect government would not be aggresively capitalistic, and would have socialist leanings when it came to industry. But such industry would be highly efficient due to the ecological bent of the government. Outside trade of agricultural produce would be employed to maintain friendly relations with neighbours, rather than an essential component of national well being. With a priority on research and development, however, the government would certainly seek profitable trade with rich nations. Profits would be poured into wildlife preservation projects and other projects of national interest.

My government would scrap all immigration and multiculturalism, and aim for a monoculture that would be more cohesive and provide a unique culture different from other places on Earth.

No religion would be recognised, and no religious organisation or individual would be permitted to obtain money through their esoteric practices. The government would aim for an enlightened population of self-defined 'overmen', who were unsusceptile to superstition, and who were worshippers of science, philosophy and the natural order.

The government would also be keenly interested in developing sustainable space habitats for space colonisation projects. Moon and Mars colonises would be a priority.

In order to protect national interests, the government would maintain a sufficient army, navy and airforce. The population would be forced to practice three years of national service, so that in war, the population could become easily mobilized.

In conclusion, my government would be dedicated to the preservation of a humanity in perfect harmony with nature. My government would hold its focus by an enlightened High Council, made up of well qualified experts in various fields. My government would be prepared to protect its interests by war or dipolomacy.

My perfect government would be one where we don't hesitate to use nuclear weapons weapons on ones like Bkeela's.
