Well, I think it would really be best if CFC could make a quick landing in GCA's south, get their GA started, and get back home with as many troops as possible.
If we want them to help with a picket, and GWT is close to being able to make their own landing, then CFC is going to need the GA in order out really help out there for that cause.
We also need to keep the appearance of a fleet just waiting for an opening to make a landing. Let's send 8 Galleys back home now with the rest making an "occasional appearance" so as to keep GWT's forces at home; or at least a good portion of them. Let's not forget that GWT will have to build a great deal more Galley's to get troops over to us. There's no way they will pull those already on picket duty away from their current duties. While GWT could land in ~12 turns there's now way they will take that chance and do so without more Galley's and enough troops for both defense at home and a sizable enough force to come after either CFC or us. For all GWT knows CFC could have 50 Horsemen built with the gold available to upgrade everyone of them. Same goes for us. GWT cannot gamble like that. The only reason were were able to gamble; and send the majoriity of our forces over seas is because we had no worries of GWT doing the same because of a lack of tech. But, now that all teams will soon have the requisite techs, all teams will need to:
1. Protect the homeland.
2. Keep the enemy guessing by harrasing them with simple incursions or just the appearance that one could beone the doorstep.
GWT will take care of #1 first; also inlcuded in that they will protect GCA to the best of their ability while not leaving themselves open to attack at either of their cores. I'd wager that they would, however, leave a few cities unprotected that are at the fringe of either core. Not that they don't want to protec them, just that they don't yet have enough troops to do it all.
Again, I think CFC needs their GA now in order to help us set up the picket in time.
