True, real strategy gamers don't care about graphics. Heck, I get nostalgic for the old Civ1 'tile style' unit graphics. But that doesn't mean progress should stop. The technology is there now to have incredible graphics and deep game play. The only thing stopping it is money, time, and vision. Now, if you make incredible graphics, that will bring the mouth breathers to the game, which takes care of the the money part. Then all you have to do is wait for someone with the vision to come along.
