Does the CTP internet server still work?

I can't seem to ever log onto it, and I don't know why. In truth, this problem has been going on for almost 4 years, I just never could get it to work.

are you broadband or dialup?

Just wondering because as previously posted in other threads, if your broadband the properties in the dialup may be checked to "allways dial a connection"

The next thing would be make sure you have latest server which has one current server..

There should be one in the MP section of Call to power

Dial Up....

I can only get as far as the first "connecting" part after I click on the internet part.

Could it be because I use AoL?

It sounds like you dont have an up to date servers.dat file. Do you?

Its a file that tells the game which servers to look for.

Extract the servers.dat file from the zip file into your ...\ctp_program\ctp

anyone have the patch 1.2 english? the one on apolyton seems to be broken and i cant find it anywhere else , thanks

To big to post it. What's the issue your dealing with? I did the download and the patch it worked fine for me.

Hello,

I was never able to play CTP from Internet. Is there any new version on the servers.dat file?? With the one in this forum I see one server. I can connect to it, create a new game but nobody can access my game and the ping is very very high.

I was told about anet server. But it seems to complicated to compile it and use it.. Am I right?

if you have xp

then it is impossible to save and reload and hard to enter your game unless 98

i have two machines

one with 98

other xp

i host and save on 98 machine for mp

My computers are behind a NAT router. Maybe the game does not work it that case?
