People like Ned convince me (and people like me) more and more to simply be independants and tell the Republicans to go blow themselves.

Kind of like what Reagan said about the Dems... I didn't leave the Republicans, they left me. Hey, if they want to be a marginalized party, be my guest. They've been trying to push out the McCain's and other people who don't follow blindly into the night for years now.

And yet they tout them every chance they get, like at the Convention.

I've been independant for years now. Makes laughing at both sides much easier.

If Moderates all became independants, both parties would be more dominated by extremists and you would see Toomies happenning in primaries all over the place.

Got spare money?

Ned for president

The Republicans didn't leave you Imran, you never were one. If anything the Republican party has become even more accepting than even under Reagan. Ned is right when he says anyone who doesn't support Bush this election isn't a Republican. It matters more now than ever.

Well Imran is no billionaire, so he isn't part of Bush II base.

Yes because George Soros and Teresa Heinz Kerry are conservative Republicans.

$100 bucks says I was more 'in' the Republican Party than you were. You ever occupy any leadership positions in campaigns or sub-organizations?

Yeah, the Republicans have been more accepting . Try to tell that to John McCain, Lincoln Chaffee, Olympia Snow, or more any Northeastern Moderate Republican (the "Rockefeller Republicans").

Working on a campaign for a Republican doesn't really say much for you. Teresa Heinz Kerry was also a registered Republican and we all know how much of a conservative she is. McCain is further right than you are, and as long as some of his social programs don't get through I don't have much of a problem with him. I don't like McCain because he is too economically socialist. However he posesses far more morals than Kerry and I would take McCain any day over a Democrat.

So I'm guessing this is your way of weaseling out of admiting that you haven't held any leadership positions in the party, even as a College Republicans?
