Austria-Hungary

The British refusal to reply to our envoy has led to a complete retreat of Austria from European battles. Prussia is quite angry at us for not helping them against Denmark and Schleswig, while the more militaristic among our own population demand the abdication of Franz-Joseph.

Meanwhile the African colony, Franz-Joseph-Land, has been consolidated. The capital Daressalam is being build European-style, and goulash restaurants are appearing wherever a free spot is to find. Local natives are treated friendly, as A-H has abolished slavery several years ago.
The colonial militia is being recruited out of the native manpower, but itīs equipped with latest European weaponry.
A Saxonian rail corporation (Chemnitzer Eisenbahnwerke) has got the state contract to build a railroad network in the colony that is slightly larger than Austria-Hungary itself.
