	Turning off Subscription E-mails Support Apolyton

How do I tell poly to stop sending me e-mails whenever someone replies to a subscribed thread? I just want to use my subscriptions to keep track of whether PBEMs are moving; I have no use for the e-mails.

Well then I can't help. That option clearly states its for receiving emails when someone responds to a thread you have posted in.

If you post a message in a thread, that automatically subscribes you to that thread, no?

Apparently this is some sort of unfixable bug.

I've been banned numerous times for blocking @Apolyton.net addresses so I don't get 50 emails a day. But it's a small price to pay for my email accounts to be useful.

In other words: there's nothing you can do.

I believe in most email accounts you can create a filter of some type... just have the filter search for the word "Apolyton" in the "From" field, and "Reply" (IIRC) in the "Title" field... if both are true, then throw to the bin

The reason for having "Reply" in the filter is so that you can still recieve other msgs from Apolyton, like when there's a new pm

That's not possible, subscription means you'll get an email.
I suggest you configure your mail client to delete all emails from support at apolyton dot net


I also use subscribed threads for PBEMs, but I don't mind the e-mails. I only have 3 active PBEMs

That option only means you are automatically subscribed to all threads you post in.

Subscribing to a thread means you get an e-mail notice for new posts.

Stop subscribing to threads and use the my threads link at the top of each page instead.

That's cluttered with lots of other threads I post in, though. I need the subscriptions to really be able to see my PBEMs at a glance.

Are you subscribed to any forums?

If not, you could subscribe to the PBEM forum and use the new posts: subscribed link, considering you're a 'poly plus member.

That gets all the threads in the forum, though. I want a quick and easy way to look at my PBEM threads and check that they've all been replied to recently.
