	IA Settler Stealing? Support Apolyton, buy Civilization 2

I discovered a new stratagy in my current game playing as the English,
I own England with scotland to the North, originally I didnt settle cornwall, and I found the small scots sending settlers down on a regular basis , because I was mor pwoerful that the Scots I could easily declare war without really having a war and going back to peace quickily, so evertime they have a Settler was in my terrority I simply pick off thier settler with a Swordsmen or 2, in no time I had a dozen scottish slaves
The powerful situation for this was right at the beggining, as I knew Edinboro was not too far north all I created from london at first was Warrors who killed the first scotish settler drifting south, those 2 workers did wonders for London, enabling me to Get the Colossus, the Pyramids AND the Great Library on Monarch

has prolly already been discovered and is used but thought i'd post just in case

the trick there is to kill off the scots completely right before them meeting a third civ, the ole arrian deception, IIRC, otherwise intermittent wars such as this will stain your rep for much of game.

Bingo, the Arrian Deception is always fun. In case you need the explanation, the most important thing to remember is an AI civ passes along no information about your behavior to a civ it never meets.

Therefore, you can rape, pillage and plunder said civ all you like, double-crossing, dirty-dealing and backstabbing them to your heart's content, as long as you kill them before they can tell anybody about it. Assuming your playing a real-world map, the Scots should be prime candidates.

No offense to the scots Paddy, inevitably playing on a Real world map things will tend to follow the natrual order tho.........
