Actually this was more of an announcement. Deity and I talked last night and already agreed on 2x2x since that is the only way I'd play. Next time I want your opinion I'll be sure to say in my post..."Moker please state your opinion and bestow your godlike wisdom on us". Did you see that up there? I sure didn't.

ok, so this is game set up thread. I got scared when i saw the topic that you were trying to keep gameleague farther away from apolyton. Becuase traditionally the mods like to keep close ties with apolyton and help bring the players together, lets not consider the gameleague and apolyton to be always competing.

Anyway, glad this is a game thread. So alls good

I question whether Deity can represent Apolyton. He is a very good player, but his ranking in Apolyton does not equal the rankings that Eyes' players have in GameLeague.

Now if the top GameLeague players would face Nappy, Marcus, Aritea, and Mark E, that would be different.

I think if this match is defined as "Apolyton vs GameLeague" I must agree with cavebear. Perhaps the Top 3 players from the Tourney should be asked to compete in this game.

I think it's fun to have an us and them thing
It' s always good to have an 'enemy' so it adds a lot of meaning to a match like this if it's the Apolyton good guys against the GL nasties

Off the field though, I still have decent chats with the 'enemy'.... LOL

BTW Cavebear I reckon I was on the way to defeating MarkE in that Tourney match before I had to opt out.... mind you he'd never agree with that

And, Hydey, I think Sean did agree to a return 1x match - but said we wouldn't win! Ha!

Since Sean will only play:
* 2x2x King villages
I suggest that the settings for this 'showdown' be on:
* Medium Map, maybe varied or archipelago
* No huts
* No city or unit bribe

That creates a fairer balance to maximise the challenge, focus on skill and reduce luck.

i think that sounds pretty fair. Would be a very interesting game. Its as fast a game as eyes wants, plus it puts a change to the normal settings of each group/

I'll agree to that. But then there will be no 1x1x game though. And we'll have to play with continent setting and large land mass. I'm not playing an island game since you apolytoners feel you can't take an early fight.
