Suffering from ads?

Well, Prescott shows that indeed lowering tax rates can increase revenues because people have the incentive to work more and the government will therefore have more hours of work to tax. No crackheads or "greater good" necessarily involved.

I've not even engaged into this debate, so I can you assume that you've pwned me?

Anyway, in this specific case, it's the employer's requirement that they work long hours.

Look here. They take vacations because they can afford too. Is that sinking in at all?

So beginning doctors and lawyers DON'T take vacations? Hell, they probably take more vacation days than their superiors (some partners are serious workaholics and are there from 8 to 8). Beginning associates and doctors are given a good number of vacation days so that they will take the job. As they move up in the company they will take less of those days off as the workload is greater.

Damn. I wonder about you guys. Is there any reason behind the claims that you make? It seems that your bias is so strong that it has absolute control over your thought. Do you really beleive the crap that you say?

No. You're right. I am delusional. I manufacture illusions about when my dad goes to work and when he comes home each day in order to let that conform to my political beliefs.

Did I say your dad wasn't a workaholic? That's fine if he is, but that doesn't mean everyone is one. It's just a little bit suspicious when a lot of people who believe a certain way here at poly know no other people but workaholics. I'm not singling you out.

Oh, and Imran. Sorry, I forgot the winkie again of course.

This class warfare crap is pure envy. The only thing people should be concerned about is what tax structure is best for the economy. When one introduces socialism into the mix, one gets far from ideal economic performance. Look at Cuba.

I'm always for simplification of the tax code because that helps the economy. I'd also like to see a flatter tax but not a flat tax. People who have more should pay more so that way the lowest income people can get a helping hand. That's not class warfare that's common sense.

BTW You love mentioning Cuba as an example of a socialist state, however, you are wrong. Cuba uses a Communist system and not a socialist system. Do you know the difference?

Ned, considering that Cuba had to do with an embargo, its performance is honorable. It's amazing to see the lows America went to just to make sure that Cuba wouldn't have a chance of being successful.
