I was disapointed with sc3000. Nice graphics but they forgot the game Must have fallen out of the box on the way home.

The problem with SMAC and CTP is that they are just civ games. I already have a great civ game. I dont want to learn a whole new set of units. I've wasted my whole life on civ. I want a enhanced civ. the old units and terrain with maybe some more. some new features. They already have a great looking game. I dont understand why the first thing they (programmers) do is redo the graphics. why?

I can't aford to waste anymore time learning a different civ. I liked them at first but only for the features I WISH where in civ II.

Simcity sucks - where yours combat. Who wants to just build up a civ ( or city ) and not take it into war.

Makes ctp look good, since it toppled simcrappy 3000.

You want a great game for the money - buy rollercoaster tycoon. I think it's better than CIV II (yes! yes I do). Now I also think Civ and RCT are different types of games (of course) so CIV II will be installed on my machine for some time. CTP, SMAC and gone from my PC. TOT - they screwed it up and all I've seen is 2 screen shots. Just what the hell was that, it looked nothing like a map of a planet. Again, they (programmers) changed the graphics and interface. Someone, one of the MP gods - WHY?!?!?!?!? why???? WHY????? CIV II is great - why mess it up???? add on to CIV II, make a great game even better. Why re-invent the wheel??? W H Y ???????????

I'm not going to buy TOT, why should I? Who's going to play it? Now, if CIV III really is a CIV game than I'll spend upwards of $65 for it.

Rollercoaster tycoon really is just to cool!

I agree that Roller Coaster Tycoon is great!
I also have played Civilization since it was a video game! It is better with each incarnation of it. But that whole improvement of the version you got thing is interesting too.

Civ II is the greatest!! All others are just faded thermal copies that wear out over time. CTP's tech tree is as unbalanced as a Vulcan during Pon-farr...There is no chance to play any of the perverted weapons that you get late in the game. SMAC is nice with the units, and the borders, but weirder then the cliental at Mos Eisley. Roller Coaster Tycoon is a fun Diversion, but until you can open up a large can of Elephant WhoopA** there is no challenge worthy of a Klingon Farm Hand. I look forward to ToT, becouse I need a challenge!

SMAC.............crap
There are some good games Civ2, AoE, C&C, and there are some other not so well known games such as Wing Commander (only if you like those types of games), and for crazy killers (like me) Doom and Quake. Any comments welcome.
