What's the best manual, "gimmick", box, ... Avatar Enlargement: We've got the solution

well, anything that came with a game?

I remember Ultima 6 (or 5?) came with a black "moonstone" and a nice map (or a towel ).

And I remember the pirates! manual, the first manual with additional, historic information.

I loved the "Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe" manual, it looked like a secret file.

Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

The best box that i have is my ultimate civ2 classic collection. Non of that light box feeling when I bought that baby. The manual was nice and thick with lots of interesting things to read.

This goes way back, but I remember a lot of silly stuff in and on the "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" box.

I liked SMAC's manual. Tons of technical stuff packed in!

Fallout had a cool tough cardboard box, and Fallout and Fallout 2 had manuals that read like actual field manuals that would be given out to the protagonist of the game.

Ultimas have that cloth map... Mmmm, cloth map .

Baldur's Gate had a real cool manual.

Support Apolyton, buy Civilization III: Complete

Hmmm...I would definitley think of Dark Reign as one of them because it's manual has gotta be the best damn looking one I've seen! It has a nice cover with the foiled symbol of the game, and inside contains everything including units, the history of mankind's future and lots of other info.

Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations: Deluxe Edition

I agree on the SMAC manual.

Nicest box was from a game called Ishar I.
Great graphical work on that one
