For those who do not frequent the UN or the Correspondence thread, the game is currently paused whilst the Admin discuss an issue.
FortyJ did not mention what the issue was on the UN forum, but it is almost certainly because of our request for clarification on a rule - whether we can use tile counts to negotiate with PAL on borders.
I am of the opinion a hold-up is not needed, as FP and I have agreed at least twice that border discussions are not immediately urgent, and PAL has promised that the disputed zone will not be settled by them until we have resolved things. I would hope that we do the same, as I'd really not want to antagonise PAL further.
I have sent to the Admin (and hopefully FortyJ, as I don't have his specific email) the below request they tell us whether this is the reason for the hold-up or not, and also told them we would be happy to continue play in lieu of a decision being made, without the use of tile counts until a decisions IS reached.
quote:
Hello (is that you FortyJ?),
I just wanted to check in and ask what the holdup of the save was about. Is it stemming from us asking for clarification of one of the UN rules? We asked whether the rule allowed us to compare notes on tile counts with other civs in order to resolve border disputes. I must stress that we would not be swapping pictures or screenshots or coordinates, except in the case that both teams concerned totally knew the area(s) involved - this is a side issue anyway.
If this is the reason for the hold up please let us know. Also, is there really a need for a pause to play? Whatever your decision on this, we are happy to play on without using such information until a decision IS made, and this could be for the best seeing as the other game is somewhat advanced on us, unless you thought the game could not continue without a decision being made.
Please respond as soon as you can,
