Ok here the news post I want to submit to the main forum:

Storm Gathers over Western Ocean as 11 ships are destroyed in an unprovoked attack by Stormia

Legopolis- Today millions mourn the lose incurred in what will go down in infamy as Legoland’s first war since the continent was first settled.
In senseless and unprovoked attack, Stormia has destroyed eleven of Legoland’s vessels with an estimated 2500 casualties with reports of 200 sailors captured in the foray. The Ironclad class LRS Shark, LRS Sledgehammer, LRS Maul, LRS South fork, LRS Iron, the Destroyer class LRS Achilles, LRS Poseidon, LRS Argonaut, LRS Athena and the Submarine U-Q2 were all sunk by Stormian destroyers in what some describe as a ‘Merciless assaulton the conscious of Humantiy’ . On lighter note, the crew of LRS Maul fought courageously and sunk one destroyer in the first wave of the assault. The Prime Minster ZargonX commented ‘This cowardly assault by a nation that has history plagued by war is clearly an action of a State that has no remorse, no consideration for human life. Today starts the beginning of a new War between the forces of good and evil and I call upon all nations to condemn this war started by the Yellowed bellied Poultry that calls itself the Government of Stormia’.

Im not sure about this part, rothraerill said to ask if this might conflict with vox's neutrality stance:
The reports of war have also stirred the nationalist VOXnation party in Voxtavia to join the war and reclaim their Motherland. VOXnation Party issued this statement ‘It is time to aid our ally Legoland, in what we know as the typical actions of the Storm Chickens and reclaim the motherland that was stolen from us. Voxtavia for the Voxians

Well, yes, one comment... I would very much prefer leaving Vox out of any propaganda for the moment. I definitely do not want GS to even start getting ideas about sucking them into the war.

Defending Legos Major is one thing, defending Voxtavia would be another. Another nightmare, to be precise. It's quite likely that if we survive the first attack relatively intact and succeed to bring the war to Stormia later on, that we will try restoring Vox to their homeland (or GS land) - but I do not think it's time to talk about that, even in a lighthearted propaganda piece.

So, if you can reword or completely replace the last paragraph, it would be great.

Aside from that - the official designation of Legoland ships is "H.B.S." (His Brickness' Ship), not LRS. This designation is explicitely used for all DDs and BBs. Transports use LNT (Legoland Naval Transport). Ironclads and submarines do not use it explicitly, but I would think they are "H.B.S.", too.

Also... while I personally like the stylization of this war as a war between good and evil... you all know how sensitive GS is about these things. We may want to think twice before starting anything nasty in the public forum. It's been pretty cordial so far and I would very much prefer keeping it that way. I am not saying to not use this idea - just think twice about using it.

Otherwise - I believe that a bit of propaganda would be fine. Zargon, could you add one or two of your famous interviews with "the common Lego folk"? I have always liked those a lot.

Oh, btw... forget my line about the "sensitivity" of GS. Use anything and everything, hard feelings or not. Two technologically and militarily superior teams gang-banged upon one that is behind. They better be ready to hear a harsh word or two.

The remembrance Service is expected to held at 1pm on Thursday at the Holy Great Cathedral of the Brick-mother and a 2 minute silence will held across the nation.

In further news, The reports of war have also stirred the ultra extreme right nationalist VOXnation party called for the government to join the war and reclaim their Motherland. The VOXnation Party leader issued this statement ‘It is time to aid our ally Legoland, in what we know as the typical actions of the Storm Chickens and reclaim the motherland that was stolen from us. Voxtavia for the Voxians!!!!’ Upon hearing this proclamation, the Voxian Government laughed off this suggestion and placed him in a cell to sober up. Asked about the possibility of fighting alongside Legoland, President Beta laughed off the matter ‘Ha, they’re nuts, I think we can safely say we learnt what happened last time. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, well… that won’t happen’

Yes, this is much better, I'd say - allow me to add few touches to your text. The most important thing is that I am not His Brickness. Legos the Wise is. He is sort of a mythical figure appearing whenever someone important is supposed to say something important... Also, Vox came from Estonia. Voxtavia is where they live now (we used to call that part of our continent Legos Minor, but they re-named it after settling there).

They are a warmonger nation that seeks to rule the entire world and wish to destroy all those that stand in the way of that goal. Stormia and their allies are an axis of evil that must be stopped. They welcome war as if were something to look forward to rejoice over. They see the very existence of Legoland as a treat to them.


Soon the Axis will learn that it was a mistake to attack Legoland, and they will regret the day they attack us. They have awoken a sleeping Giant that will soon crush their evil governments and free the people who they have oppressed over hundreds of years.

Frankly, I would rather not post this in public... the main problem is that it's not true we did nothing to GS. We did openly side with their enemies during The Great Bobian War - and it was our knights showing up that ended that war so abruptly. So GS have all reasons to come after us now, trying to pay us back for what we did to them.

This post would quite likely provoke them to post back, starting what would soon develop into a flamewar we had enough of in the past. Mentioning "forces of evil" in an otherwise non-aggressive post of rendelnep was ok. Posting a propaganda piece that is basically nothing but calling them evil and coward and corrupted... dunno.

I know I would prefer not seeing this in the public forum.

BTW, the name of the city is Jackson, not Jacksonville.

OK, this is much better (next time, post the edited version in a new post, so that my comments make sense, please), but I would still redo the second paragraph.

The fact is that GS is not oppressing anybody - they still only have that modest piece of land they started with. They even gifted the lands they took from Vox to the defeated RP. So... it's rather strange to promise "liberating oppressed people", when there are actually none like that.

Perhaps focusing on encouraging our own people to fear none and fight might work better. The first paragraph - calling GS names, but decently (it's ok as it is). The second paragraph - encouraging our own folk, because that's currently the only people threatened by an oppresion by GS (should we lose).

Something like that.

Are we a treat to GS or a threat to them?
