At first they landed a diplo and although FA is banned on this planet a friendly raport did ensue...

The Roman trireme discovered 'deitiLeptis' and headed North...

Then soon after a Deitian silk area was overtaken by Romans!

It is believed that, after first making friendly contact, the Roman trireme did head North according to our intelligence.

It seems that soon after, a Roman city was founded on the area marked North of the Roman Phalanx. The Deitians tolerated this because it took eons before the Romans actually took possesion of the Silk. An incompetent Chariot driver kept claiming it but the city refused to make use of it! Finally the Roman Chariot headed East and a Phalanx was brought down to fortify the Spice.

THUS begins the first known conflict on this planet... Romans One Spice; Deitians minus a Spice!

The Roman Chariot did also mischieviously fortify in the East to prevent The Deitian road from reaching deitiLeptis. But when Deitian diplos forged past the Chariot, it did move southerly...

It had been known for eons that a Deitian whale was first claimed by another civ but it was not until map making was developed that it was discovered who was there. Friendly relations were established with the Black Hoards, who it is believed are slightly colour-blind...

The Deitians suggest a shared seaway border here...

The Great and Mighty Empire of the Black Hoards with their leader Dankhis Kahn, except this border with the Mighty Deitians. Passage is granted threw their sea's as long as the peace is kept. The Black Hoards have also made peace with the German Empire but we have no contact with the Romans.

On a side note: nice play of words with my last name deity, Goldsworthy= worth of gold...lol

Dylan showed up within an hour of start time but Dank, who was on time, disapeared with comp problems before Dylan apeared WAH!

This is a good close game - let's make big efforts to be right for it this week.

Guys, I am leaving town early for a wedding this weekend. Hopefully, I will have access to a computer this evening, but I can't make any guarantees. Sorry to do this to you again. After this weekend, I have nothing on the horizon that will prevent me from playing.

Well it was another exciting week of non-play.

As usual:

Dank was first to show and first to leave. And even though he said he would be right back, he never came back.

Deity Dude showed up next, hoping for a game. When this game was finally deemed hopeless he played a duel against lungchild.

Then came Deity. He hurried home, as others did, only to sit around and wait for a game that was not to happen.

Dylan never showed. This possibility was posted a few hours earlier by Dylan but left inconclusive. Most players showing up hadn't even read the "last minute" post.

Well, next Thursday is Thanksgiving in the US so I will not be able to play. (Notice the 1 week warning)

I will show up the week after that.

I don't demand people show. I don't demand people put civ above their personal life. I do expect that if someone commits to a game

that:

a: they show up

b: if they can't, give more than a few hours notice. I realize that emergencies are gonna come up, but weddings and other well known events shouldnt have to wait until the last minute to be posted. Again I dont mind if the game is missed, I just dont think it's fair for others to show up in good faith and have their time wasted.

c: if they show up, get bored of waiting, leave and decide not to come back, PLEASE TELL THE OTHER PLAYERS YOU AREN'T COMING BACK. Especially, if you just told them that you would "BRB"

OH well thats my ***** for the night. I hope to see everyone the week after Thanksgiving .
