I'll go with the consensus. We can either continue with Mike and I down to 1 civ each or we fix the current situation - I don’t think its necessary to start the whole game over, perhaps you could just replay the turn where you killed the damiayo units.

Btw the easygoing and boc games haven’t turned up in my inbox yet.

I don't think I've been using him as a scout, the civolpedia is great for finding out what units are for

I don't know how you feel about re-starting this game but I can't be bothered playing all this again.

Paddy you can either grant us the fact that we weren't aware of the game rules (no mention of regenicide was made in the pre-game discussions) and replay the turn, or we can carry on with Mike and I down to 1 civ.

ok, a suggestion that you may find acceptable

at this time we all have approx 3 - 5 towns / settlers
along with that several swordsmen and a worker or two

my suggestion is that we restart, yet we all get the following worker pack:

5 settlers
4 workers
4 swordsmen
embassies
500 gold
two cans of coke
a large bootle of rum
6 dancing girls...

this way we are well on our way to getting back on track etc

and thus we would not know what each other is upto at this time etc...

I agree with Paddy. Either a restart or continue from where we are. Your Diamyo has been scouting, busting huts, etc. where ours were not.

You are very likely to have much more land explored, first to huts, an advantage of terrain which leads to knowledge directing your settlement patterns, unit experience (battles with barbs), gold, and maybe even science.

well you get the advantage of having all that scouting done, and when your scout / diamyo dies you get the turn replayed

so with a restart with a starter pack, each team is quickly up to speed and you (hehe) do not have all that intel that others who protected their Diamyo do not have

with a starter pack

redistributed all resources, goodie huts, start locations and bonus grasslands


I have no idea where things are this way either

we have the same play order... just starting over

on reading through the thread I thought that:

Shogun was for a restart, not going back a turn
MickeyJ had agreed with a restart
Andy would go with the majority
and I wanted a restart, not going back a turn
