Situation Update
If you're reading this, say so. I'd like to see who's still around. 
For those just joining us...
We're allied with our southern neighbors, Team Cake or Death (otherwise known as Izzardia, or CoD), and at war with their southern neighbors, Team Monkey. See the Turn 162 thread for a recent map.
There is no activity in the war right now. All three sides are just building up forces. Python and CoD have stacks concentrated at Siege Perilous, a Monkey city we captured earlier in the war. We also have new musketeers in the area, guarenteeing us a golden age soon.
We're number 6 out of 7 in terms of land, but have the world's largest military force (most of it concentrated in Siege Perilous).

What's our level of comfort that CoD won't backstab us? (We apparently have most of our forces far far away from home.)
Was a formal alliance declared and documented? I know this game was supposed to be more fun and less regimented than the original PtWDG, but I'm just curious.
What is the level of Monkey technology? (I'd check for myself, but I have to wait for the next save to get sent out.)

GP = Gunpowder. We got it from Tabemono, but we still need to pay them back at some point...
No formal alliance was ever concluded with CoD - it's more a mutual understanding that we'll work together to defeat Monkey, and with our tech research.
I think we're safe from a backstab at the moment - a huge stack of CoD's army is right next to Siege Perilous, the southern base of our offensive opperation, where a majority of our troops are located. We have a RoP with them, and troops passing through CoD territory south have not noted any other major unit concentrations. And, they seem trustworthy enough for me. Besides, our military is still larger according the military advisor - if he's to be believed, we have the world's largest military.
