AoK is Age of Empires II, the Age of Kings.
Its another game in the same genre that I've been playing for 6 months while I didn't have Starcraft.

Can you get on battle.net with a pirated version?

Don't think so - all my mates have pirated versions of Starcraft and are all pissed off they can't use Battle.net. Goes to show piracy doesn't always pay.

Nowadays, I always use pirated versions of games... to try it out. If I like the game a lot, I will buy it, as you're missing out on a lot of stuff with pirated versions.

But I never have to worry about buying something I end up not liking after all.
