T142 - 270ad Help yourself to an AD-FREE life

Ok, our musketmen have reached the main stack.

66 units are ready to advance into Monkeyland.

* Arrian ponders whether or not to march onward, or wait & communicate with Python.

Hrm, not all units can make it all the way into Monkey territory. Therefore, we wait one turn.

Avatar Enlargement: We've got the solution

Oct suggested in an earlier PM that each team march south in two stacks, thus threatening 4 cities, but I don't think we have enough defenders for that. With one stack each we could threaten Mandrill, Helms (Simian) Deep, and Orang. We can't march further south to threaten more cities without a rearguard - though monkey would probably think twice about sending units north when faced with an attack of 130+ units.

I would keep out stack together. What do you think about the specific attack route?

Yes, the SoD must be whole. CoD toward Mandril/Simian Deep, and Python toward Simian Deep/Orangutan seems the only obvious route to start.

Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

If we are to get between Mandrill and Simian Deep we should maybe first move to SD87 on T143 and then to SD7/Mandrill6 on T144. Otherwise we get an extra turn of being pinged.

In that case Monkey would go to SD99 on T143 then to SD6/Orang8 on T144.

An alternative to all that would be a one-two assault on DS, with CoD moving to SD8 and Python to SD9. Monkey would put everything in SD and with them healing between the turns, would get a defensive edge.

They might put everything in SD anyway, even if we flank it to threaten Mand & Orang, but I'd rather give them the temptation of splitting their defence across three cities.
