Sure it is, while i didn't care much for BG personally, for BG 1 and 2 it would be worth it.

I didn't even finish 1 and I'd still buy it.

ACK!

It's worth the money unless your one of those people who cannot play old games with inferior graphics. But other than the graphics, the gameplay is top notch.

I'd have to wait until Doc removed the codes from Gamespy before I could use them anyway.
Mind you, it must be possible to register with codes that have already been on before, just so long as it isn't at the same time. They must have realised that not everyone who bought the games would enjoy them and so those who had bought them second hand would want to play on-line too.

In the OC, I've just finished level 6 of the Tower above Luskan, and am homing in on the bad guys. Whether I'll get to fight them or not is another matter - it's only Chapter 2 still, ande even if I defeat Maugrim and then have to fight the queen he's working for in the third Chapter then that wouldn't leave much game. I'd have thought that there would be 4 chapters at the very least. And I have to confess to having just run away from an iron golem without killing him. I had a battle horror to fight him, but he just ignored him and my weapons are ineffective against it so I just killed everyone else and legged it. :cowardsmiley:

to Baldur's Gate by the way.
And I used to have In vino veritas as my sig at CFC.

Yes, you need to remove them from the registered account in order from someone else to use them if I understood what Bioware´s says (or you can use DrSpike´s account ), but not from Gamespy, they are stored in Bioware´s site

By the way, you should create an account in Bioware´s site (you don´t need the codes to do that) so you can see everything related to CDkeys and your account

To kill an Iron golem you need something like a hammer or a very strong magical blade, I think (it´s been a while since I played the game )
IIRC chapter 3 is just a bit shorter than the other 2 and the 4th is the Big Boss Battle (tm).

Save the game (somewhere else other than the quicksave) after you defeat someone powerful in chapter 4 because after that you will be teleported to somewhere else and you won´t be able to return back when you reach the last confrontation.

I understand about accounts and used games regarding online play, but I think I'm missing something-- what are the references to DrSpike's account about? Has he discovered some sort of stone of recall that will perform magic on used games?
It's all so mysterious.

DrSpike is using Duke o' york´s codes to play online.
To do that you have to create an account and register the codes, it´s the only way to play other than special servers

New premium modules available!

I remember them doing some talk about another expansion pack. There wasn't a whole lot of support for it. So fans suggested releasing content available online. This appears to be it.

The quality of it, I'm not sure. I need to read the forums and check them out.

They aren't real expensive, but I'm not sure how many hours of gameplay they have.

here's a link for you all

Hell yeah

I've retired already actually...........Folderol is good but it's an amateur effort and it shows after you've been playing a while. Still, I got almost 2 months play out of it, which was more than I expected, so cheers for the codes.

It may be an amateur effort, but a lot of it is my amateur effort I'll be on Folderol perhaps on Sunday... I have all the cables and modems and crap now, but (as always there's a hitch) I need to drill some holes in some walls to connect things up. Gah.

Don't get me wrong, it was a fun 2 months and I'd recommend it to anyone. However, if Ł10 a month payment doesn't bother you the real MMORPGs are undoubtedly better IMO.

I'm also annoyed you took so damn long to get back online!

Shadowguard was $4.99. And it includes the re-mastered Witches Wake. Witches Wake has a lot of text, but the cool thing is the re-mastered version most of it is voiced over. And I found the female voice over pleasant to listen to.

The Kings one is $5.99 for the lite version, and I think $7.99 for the regular version. The lite version doesn't have the voice evers the regular version has (this raises the download size considerably).

It's debatable if they are worth it. I have the money to spend, so it's not a big deal. I got over 1 hour/$1 of fun. And that is what I go for (I will not buy a game if it has less than 50 hours of game play for $50). Shadowguard took me about 4 hours to play and it has room for another replay (there are options you can take that affect how things develop later on from what I'm told). And I'm still playing Witches Wake

There are a few detracters (see bulletin board in my other link above) that say there are user made modules that are just as good. But I haven't found them. I'd say these are better than user made modules (which are free of course as you know).

I haven't played the King's one yet. I'll probably get that after I slow down on Everquest2 play. But right now that is taking most of my time.

[bump] Is it a coincidence that this thread disappears to the second page after Doc announces his NWN retirement? [/bump]

I haven't played any more of the OC I'm afraid - I have exams to revise for! Mind you, I am looking forward to those blissful weeks between my second exam and Christmas. I should make loads of progress (duchess and Sky's decisions to televise Newcastle mayches permitting ) I have yet another interview tomorrow morning so fungus crossed for that one.

Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

So I found this Folderol place, logged, had some fun with a party of friendly people and a hyperactive DM - a blast. Sadly, I really don't play vanilla NWN anymore, since I find myself having too much fun with the PRC classes. Does any of you Folderol regulars know if there are any plans to intoroduce the PRC on Folderol anytime soon?

Is that near DrSpike's house?

Diss should be nearly there by now.
Exam revision and job interviews have severely eaten into my OC time recently, but I'll be back, as no great politicians are recorded as saying. Unfortunately if I get a pay rise with a new job, then I have to buy a car so broadband may have to wait even longer than it already has been.

I spent all morning trying to get mine to work properly.

HINT - do not run a German localised OS if working with UK broadband.

But now 'tis fixed, and Folderol awaits!
