So far no big suprizes. The Florida gap is a bit unusual as the panhandle precincts usually report last and it is heavily Republican.

The discrepency between the 170 and 171 Electoral vote total is the 2nd Congressional district in Maine. Maine awards by district and it looks like the 2nd is going Bush.

GOP will hold the Senate by my reckoning. CNN has now called 47 seats for GOP, 39 for Dems and 1 Independant (not contested). 13 seats remain undecided.

After looking at the current situation in the Miami area and keeping in mind that W. has a 250k vote lead, I'm starting to except his victory in there. How's Ohio? What's up with Michigan & Minnesota, which both seem to be leaning for Bush?

Neither Detroit, nor Flint, nor Ann Arbor, nor Lansing is reporting in yet. Michigan will go to Kerry.

Minnesota and Wisconsin haven't had their urban areas report yet either.

As for Florida, expect Kerry to make up another 100,000 or so from Palm Beach, Miami-Dade. And that doesn't count the absentee ballots from that area (~250,000) that might not get counted until Thursday.
